Though sadly the creator of this video sadly passed away two years ago, Tony Mines’ legacy will be remembered in the most positive light. I wonder if Graham Chapman and Terry Jones have congratulated him, wherever they all may be now…

Me, a German boy. 11 years old. Looking for some lego stopmotion videos. Discovered this. Didn't know what Monty Python was until then. Became a huge Monty Python Fan. Thank you so much! 27 now. Time is passing by so quickly, lads.

I want to see somebody do a Pythonesque Lego Castle brickfilm. Not a remake of the Holy Grail but an original film done in an absurd comedic style similar to Monty Python and also The Princess Bride.

17 - 16 years since I first saw it as a kid growing up in Whitehaven, and it still holds up. I didn't know the guys behind Monty Python in LEGO were responsible for this, however. The more you know... Also, I just noticed this, but the music of this short has a very similar sound to Jeremy Soule's scores for the Star Wars videogames Bounty Hunter and Knights of the Old Republic. I didn't make the connection as a kid despite playing Bounty Hunter a lot on my PS2, but I wouldn't be surprised if he did the music for this short as well.

I grew up with just this version of the film as a kid. It wasn't until years later that I found out this was just the Alternate Ending version.
